Demo Mode loads portfolio-safe sample data. Personal Mode starts blank so you can import your transcript and keep real academic data local to this browser.

Local settings data

BoilerTrack currently stores courses, grades, assignments, to-dos, and links in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded to GitHub, Supabase, or a remote database.

Demo Mode

  • Uses fake Purdue-style sample data.
  • Safe for screenshots, GitHub, LinkedIn, and portfolio demos.
  • Can be restored anytime from this page.

Personal Use

  • Stores real data locally in this browser only.
  • Should not be committed to GitHub.
  • Future versions may support private login and database storage.

Local Data Management

Reset one area at a time, or restore all BoilerTrack data back to demo mode.

Replace saved courses with portfolio-safe demo courses.

Replace saved assignments with demo assignment examples.

Replace saved to-dos with broader demo task examples.

Reset All Data to Demo

This replaces courses, assignments, to-dos, and resources with demo sample data.

Import and Export

Export local BoilerTrack data to a JSON file or import a previous BoilerTrack export. Files are processed in this browser only.

Export Local Data

Downloads courses, assignments, to-dos, resources, and export metadata as `boilertrack-export.json`.

Import Local Data

Choose a previous BoilerTrack JSON export. Invalid JSON or invalid data shapes will be rejected with an error message.

Clear Local App Data

Clearing browser storage can delete personal app data. BoilerTrack will leave the app empty until you add data or import a transcript.
